All of your local Conservative candidates live or work in Evesham. We think it's important that the people who represent you are part of the local community that they serve.

Your Conservative councillors are a strong team, working together and working effectively with our colleagues at town, district and county level.

Sue Amor

Sue Amor is a former teacher who has lived in Evesham for nearly 50 years. In her spare time, she has been an ASA swimming referee and volunteer coach. She has also helped run a gymnastics club at Wallace House Community Centre.

Sue has served as your local councillor for the past eight years, and was Mayor of Evesham over the second half of the Covid lockdown. During that time she organised the “Covid Heroes” award for local residents and groups who gave exceptional service to the town throughout that period.

Sue is asking for your support to be re-elected as Evesham Town Councillor for Evesham South ward so that she can continue to work hard as your local representative.

Mike is a successful local businessman who enjoys cycling and walking his dog.

Paul Bennett

Paul has lived in Evesham for nearly 20 years. He is married to Jacqui and they have five children and fourteen grandchildren. He has worked in the computer industry for Hewlett Packard and for Severn Trent Water, Ladbrokes, and British Gas, and later on, Financial Services at Ernst & Young.

When he first came to Evesham, he quickly realised how friendly people are and how accessible everything is; leading him to put down long-term roots in the town. Paul now wants to give some of this back to the local community. He is not only interested in talking about local needs but in taking action to improve Evesham for everyone.

Patrick Boyd

Patrick is a partner in an Evesham-based legal firm where he specialises in commercial property law.

Patrick has represented Twyford ward on Evesham Town Council for the past eight years, and his legal experience has been invaluable in helping the council negotiate contracts with suppliers and partners.

Patrick is now asking for your support to remain on the town council and continue to work hard on your behalf.

Stan Brotherton

Stan, perhaps best known locally as a published local historian, is a qualified accountant (ACCA) who worked for many years as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and later for IBM. He is currently a financial controller for a national property developer. Building on these skills, Stan served as treasurer for the Bell Tower Appeal (2013-18) and managed the development phase of the Conservation Project (2014-15). He was also treasurer and a founding trustee of the Evesham Abbey Trust (2015-18); helping secure the all-important initial HLF funding for this most special local project.

Stan is now seeking to join the town and district councils in order to put his wealth of knowledge and experience to good use as one of your councillors.

John Clatworthy

John is a former RAF parachute instructor and disability sport coach, a role which has taken him around the world including the 2000 Sydney Paralympics.

Now retired, John lives in Evesham where he volunteers with a local charity as well as drawing on his experience to help make the town a more welcoming place for those with disabilities.

Andrew is proud to have represented local people at Evesham Town Council (ETC) and Wychavon District Council (WDC) for almost 20 years.

Andrew is passionate about making certain that Evesham thrives. Very much a family man, his children and grandchildren all live locally.

Mark Goodge

Mark has represented Bengeworth on Evesham Town Council since 2011, during which he has served as Mayor of Evesham three times.

Mark runs his own IT business and has previously worked in retail and media. As someone who lives, works and shops in Evesham, Mark is well placed to understand the concerns of local residents. Mark’s three children attend local schools, and Mark has previously served as a school governor.

Marion Griffiths

Marion Griffiths is married with two adult children and has lived in Evesham for a number of years.

During her career in education, she has worked for a considerable length of time as a literacy consultant and the books she has had published reflect her expertise in study skills. Whilst volunteering for Acorns Children’s Charity Shop for ten years, Marion raised thousands of pounds for children with life-limiting conditions.

Marion is delighted to support the magnificent, "Evesham Festival of Words" which hosts fantastic events. Participating in Evesham’s spectacular extravaganza Battle of Evesham events is something Marion relishes with great enthusiasm. In short, Marion would like to find a way to make a valuable contribution to the town.

Peter Griffiths

Peter and his wife Marion chose Evesham as the place where they wanted to live after completing their studies in Birmingham over 40 years ago and they are both still in love with the town. They have two grown up children who were educated locally. Peter is a practicing Surveyor and Construction & Development Consultant based in the High Street.

Peter currently serves as Worcestershire County Councillor for Evesham North & West, the division covering Great Hampton. Peter is asking for your support to continue this work on your behalf as part of the Town Council.

Robert Hale

Robert Hale is a market gardener and lifelong Evesham resident. Alongside his work, he has also acted as a Blossom Tour Guide. In his spare time, he is an enthusiastic runner, cyclist and fencer.

Robert has served on the town council since 2019, and is now seeking your support to continue in that role. He is a strong advocate of active travel, and is passionate about making sure that Evesham’s future is shaped by the people who live here.

Laurence has lived in Evesham all of his married life with his wife Penelope. An estate agent by profession, Laurence is now semi-retired and wants to put his experience and knowledge of the town to good use as one of your Town Councillors.

In his spare time, Laurence enjoys sports and fitness activities, reading and travel, and loves being out in the countryside with his dog.

As your councillor, Laurence is committed to serving the people of the town and taking your views into account.

Charlie Homer

Charlie as lived in and around Evesham all his life, doing GCSEs and A-Levels at Evesham high School before attending university. Charlie now lives on Queens Road with his wife and young son.

Charlie is a new candidate for Evesham North ward, but he has previously served as district councillor for Harvington and Norton ward. At the same time, he was also a Town Councillor and had privilege of being Mayor of Evesham for the 2014-15 civic year.

Bill Kimberley

Bill is a Hampton man born and bred, and has lived in the Vale of Evesham all his life.

Bill's sweet stall has been a fixture at the Evesham Mop Fair and other events and the region for many years. Now semi-retired, Bill has been a town councillor since 2019 and is looking forward to continuing to work with local residents to make Hampton a better place to live.

As an experienced market operator and trader, Bill was instrumental in helping to resurrect the Evesham Charter Market last year, and is asking for your support to be re-elected in order to continue working hard for the town.

Celia Kimberley

Celia was born and bred in Hampton, where she went to Hampton Junior School before attending Evesham High School. Celia enjoys walking on the rural footpaths around Hampton and along the river.

Celia has worked with her husband on their family business for over 40 years, and is now looking to join Bill on the town council to help put her knowledge and experience to good use in the service of the town.

Robert Raphael

Robert has lived in Evesham all of his life. After leaving Prince Henry’s High School, he trained as an accountant with Evesham firm Emslie & Co, before leaving to join the family business at Hampton Ferry.

Robert has served as Mayor of Evesham on two separate occasions and recently had the honour of serving as Chairman of Wychavon District Council.

Robert is a trustee of several local charities, and is involved in running many of Evesham's key events including the Angling Festival and the Christmas Tree Festival.

Emma Stokes

Emma has represented Bengeworth at Wychavon District Council for nearly two decades. Her enthusiasm and experience have been put to good use as Executive Board Member for Resident and Customer Services, a role in which she has overseen the new Abbey Park Water Play and the renovation of two award-winning accessible toilet blocks.

Emma lives in Bengeworth and can often be seen out and about in the area with her dog Bruce. She is a keen recycler and supports a local furniture charity, and was very pleased when the end of lockdown allowed the return of schemes to reuse and recycle unwanted items as well as restarting local litter picks.

Nick attended college here, and started his first job at Abbey Gates before moving into local government where he spent 25 years reducing costs and improving outcomes.

Nick's own children grew up here and were educated in local schools. Nick now lives in Evesham town centre and is passionate about helping to make this town a better place for its residents and businesses.

Sarah lives in Evesham and runs her own hairdressing business in the town centre.

Sarah grew up in a musical household, and loves music in all its forms. She has been instrumental - no pun intended - in helping the town council re-establish Bands in the Park after its enforced break.

Sarah is now seeking your support to join the town council and put her energy and enthusiasm to work on behalf of all the town's residents and businesses.
